Installation of new 8-inch main line pipe continued this week from West to East along 238th, and crossed beneath 238th in preparation to connect the existing Co-Op tank on 238th. Additionally, crews conducted initial pressure testing, and sanitization of the existing 8” pipe that runs along 115th. Next week, the crew will continue installing pipe along SW 238th Street; the crew expects to reach 107th Avenue SW sometime next week. Construction commenced this week, including installation of 500 feet of new 8-inch mainline pipe at the South end of 115th Avenue SW and the West end of SW 238th Street. The new pipe is being installed in the ground now but is not yet being put into service; individual service line connections will be made later this year after major segments of pipe installation are complete and the new pipe is pressure tested [...]

Construction Schedule On-site construction begins the week of Monday, August 17. The first day(s) are likely to be mobilization and setup only, with material and equipment arriving by ferry; though excavation may follow quickly. The first work will be the water main along SW 238th St from 115th Ave SW east to 107th Ave SW. Work will generally be Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
